Hi, I’m Andrew Haberlandt!

Andrew Haberlandt

I’m a 2nd-year PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Fraser Brown.

My primary research interests lie in software security, especially binary analysis and fuzzing. Right now, I am (broadly) interested in automated bugfinding tools (fuzzers, instrumentation-based sanitizers, …) and decompilation.

I currently play CTF with the Plaid Parliament of Pwning, and occasionally I write-up my solutions here.

My professional experience is largely in embedded systems, with an emphasis on reverse engineering, automated bugfinding (fuzzing, instrumentation-based sanitizers, …), and exploit development.
